Dragon Age Inquisition potion bug or ????

I've been playing DA:I for a while now, (30+ hours but I still don't have Skyhold) and I've received the recipes for mana and regeneration potions and even upgraded them. My inventory said I had zero of them but I didn't think much of it (I thought that maybe it was just the health potions that restocked and that I had to buy all others). However, I can't seem to find merchants that have any potions. Which leads to my question, is this a bug or am I just missing something?

Not a bug. You have to manually restock non-health potions where you refill health potions.

You should be able to top up/set your potions at restocking stations at any camp.

Also note that each party member has their own individual non-health potions, so you need to set these up individually.

Think there's an inquisiton perk to increase the carried potion/grenade slots too, if you want to have some more options.

  • But when I restock at camp only the health potions fill up even though I've set other potions on both the main character and the companions...

  • I had this problem too. Took me a while to realise that you have to click on the potions in the belt not on the left while in the potion restocking table.

Ok the problem for which I'm having is that I've got receipes for health, regeneration and rock armor tonic. When I go to a station I can make the regeneration potions and it auto restocks my healing potions. But I can't make the rock Armor potion. There is a 3rd potion spot on the belt but it is locked. Is this the reaons for which It won't allow me to make this potion and how do I unlock it?

You've probably already figured this out by now, but I was stumped on this too for a while, so I went searching online for an answer.

Am writing a response for others who go looking for the answer as well.

When you open up your equip potion table, there's a menu on the left that shows you which potion recipes you know. Clicking on each will show you the ingredients needed on the upper right hand side of the screen.

Below that is your potion toolbelt. It has three slots. One for the healing potion you get that is automatically refilled each time you camp, and two other slots. If you left-click and drag the icon for whichever potion you want from the left-side menu into an empty slot, it will show up in your potion belt (the three slots at bottom right). However, it will continue to show zero until you actually make the recipe.

Making the recipe is easy. If you have the required ingredients, you simply left-click on the potion icon you just dragged over. It's the icon on the bottom right side (your potion belt) and it will add one potion with each left click. You have to physically left click the icon on the right-hand side for every additional potion you want added (max 5).

    Hope that helps someone!

Maker bless you 100x. I know this is a 4 year old post, but seriously you just saved my sanity. I lost most of it trying to find the damn regeneration potion (Mod changed the name and I didn't realise) and then I couldn't work out how to replenish and it was about to tip me over the edge (bad day). So if you ever see this, thank you from the bottom of my heart
