Dragon Age Inquisition Won't Launch ps4

Okay can you all walk me through this like I have no idea what I am doing? I have had this game  for over a year so I know it is done downloading. Today I just got around to downloading jaws of hakkon and the descent. Now when I start the game it just stays black with that blinking seeker symbol in the lower left(I think it's left)

Same exact issue, game worked just fine then once the DLC was dowloaded and I tried to launch the game, it just gets stuck on the black loading screen. It isn't frozen because the little Inquisition logo in the bottom corner is steadily flashing. I contacted EA support, the had me start my PS4 in safe mode and rebuild database... no change. He just told me to delete the DLC and try the game, then if successful to redownload one by one until I encountered the issue. My slow internet will have me waiting ANOTHER two days after the two I waited to install the DLC in the first place, so I'll have spent my entire week watching this game download. I'll check back when I know if redownloading the DLC fixes the issue.
  • I've reinstalled the game 3 times and found out that the trespasser DLC is the cause of the inf black screen with green seeker icon blinking before game main menu. The game starts fine without it but when I install the DLC it goes back to the black screen again. EA help I'd like to play DAI again with all the dlcs I don't own the GoTY edition. Patch game or whatnot to allow the Trespasser DLC to work again.
  • I came across this issue today after buying the game again on sale. I had downloaded the entire game with all the DLC or so I thought. I still hadn't downloaded the Jaws of Hakkon DLC which seemed odd but still, I went and downloaded it again last night. Woke up today to have my game not load, just a black screen with the symbol blinking. This is how  I fixed mine with no deleting of the game.

    - I made sure the game was closed and went to the PlayStation home screen where all my games are located.

    - Then on Dagon Age, I went down past Overview, Trending, and Friends to the PlayStation Store tab.

    - On this tab, it told me my add-ons and content I could still purchase. Knowing that Jaws of Hakkon was downloaded last night I presumed this was the issue.

    - Next to the Jaws of Harkkon tab under my add-ons, there is a download arrow I pressed that and got a notification stating that it has been added to my downloads... again?

    - After the download, I opened the game to see it was working right again with no saves or anything having to be deleted.

    I hope this helps.

I was having the same issue.  Going through and re-downloading all DLC (Jaws and Decent, in my case) worked without having to delete any content or saves.

@bakershuksan Thanks for the confirmation. It's certainly a strange issue, but it seems that a reinstall should fix it for folks now.

  • I am having this exact problem now, 2021! I downloaded the three free dlcs from the ps store and the same thing started happening to me.
