Dragon Age: Inquisition won't start on PS3

Question

I wanted to try re-playing Inquisition a while ago, and was incredibly surprised to find that my PS3 was no longer starting the game - I had finished it a few months ago, and the game worked fine (aside from the occasional clipping, freezing and banter bugs).

The "disk reading" icon did show up on the PS3, but but Dragon Age: Inquisition didn't appear on my game menu even after waiting for ten minutes. I tried inserting other games and they worked fine - even my much older Dragon Age 2 disk, so my PS3 isn't the problem.

The Inquisition disk doesn't have any scratches. I tried cleaning it after the first few tries, but the results were the same. I even tried deleting the game data and patches, hoping the game would just re-install itself, but still, just the "disk reading" icon and then nothing.

(I got the Deluxe Edition, and never got the Dragon Armor, but got the mount for some reason, anyway that doesn't really matter I just kind of want to play the game again)

Anyway, I hope there's a solution to this... or at least a way to back-up my saves into Dragon Age Keep without having to run the game?

If you have access to a friend or family member's copy you could try this in your machine too. You mention it being clean and scratch-free and this is probably the case, but it may be worth discounting the disc as a potential issue before taking the steps linked above.&nbsp;
