I have a brand new game, arrived today in shrink wrap. I have pristine discs. Both disc 1 and disc 2 cause the Xbox 360 screen "The disc is unreadable." I'm told to clean it and restart the console.About one in three attempts, I can get the game to start. But within 5 to 10 minutes, the game crashes to "The disc is unreadble" screen again. Please let me know what to do to fix this bug in the software.

Deleting the cache on my Xbox seems to be helping at the moment. It hasn't crashed in about 20 minutes.If you want to try it but can't remember where those settings are, use this instruction page from Microsoft .Edit: This really seems to be working for me. I am getting the same error just after the first video scene. It always occurs at the same spot and I can not play the game. So far very dissapointed with what I expected to be a good game. Any advice will help or should I just exchange the title for a replacement at the store?

You didn't say if you tried the cache deletion or not. Did that help?

I am also very frustrated. I am hoping it is something they will fix with a game update soon, but I don't have very high hopes.

I did delete the system cache and it did not fix the issue. Game stopped in the same spot.

Well, my own solution doesn't work anymore. After being able to play for a few hours last night without crashing, I can't get the game to play at all tonight. Just "unreadable disc" time after time after time. I can get to the load screen, and then it crashes again.

I crash in the same spot in Haven over and over. No matter what direction I approach it from. I Exchanged it for a new copy and it still is in the same spot. I hit the location and get can't read disc. Of course the store tries to say it has to be a tiny scratch but on two brand new discs?

Same here. Mine wont even get to the loading screen now it just immediately gives me the "disc is unreadable" right when I select play game.
