Dragon Age: Inquistion from Epic Games won't start

I've just got the free GOTY edition of DAI from the Epic Games store 🙂

But when I try to run it, it doesn't start ☹️

Try from Epic, game status changes to "Running" and it launches the EA app. But nothing else happens.

Try from EA, and it says "Launching game", thinks for a bit and then the app closes and restarts. But no game starts

From the desktop icon created during install I get "Preparing game", then Epic Game app opens, game status is "Running" and it launches the EA app. But nothing else happens.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled EA App, and run a repair on DAI in the app, but didn't help.
