Dragon Age Inquistion Not Starting

Okay, so I've had various problems on both of my PCs (one a brand-new build that runs ESO and Witcher fine) with DA:I since the February 4th update, but nothing quite like this. First Origin/DA:I hard crashed during MP (yesterday afternoon) and then barely booted back up. During that time it kept telling me that the cloud was unable to sync no matter how many times I tried to re-sync it. Since I'd had newer saves on my rig than I did in the cloud, I didn't want to overwrite, though I'm getting the feeling it wouldn't have been able to access the cloud anyway.

Now here's the weird part: since February 4th I've had to Repair Game a lot on my laptop, but I chalked it up to having an old laptop that had to run everything on Medium/low and that it was just me. I've not had to Repair Game since I finished my rig (8core AMD FX 3.5 GHz with an AMD Tri-X R9 290 GPU with 4GIGs of RAM) and have been running it on that just fine. Now, when I right click, it doesn't come up with the Repair Game option (which it did last night) and the entire box-art/game is grayed out. There aren't any instances of running (I checked) and there aren't any .exe open on my computer. I've shut down my computer several times and nothing has come of it. It won't let me click play and there just simply isn't a Repair Game option anymore. Also, when I click "Check for Updates" nothing happens (which I clicked after opening Origin and discovering the game was still grayed out.)

I am assuming this has something to do with the Beta Test/Update/Patch for the Black Emporium, but it's really frustrating. I don't want to uninstall DAI because my internet isn't the best (took me 15 hours to download it last time) but I will if I have to. If I do have to, since the cloud backup isn't working, where are the DAI files saved, I can't seem to find that in my scouring of the internet either.

I also have sent in an Error Report for the game not launching and being grayed out. This is my Report ID Number: 07d7ea7d80000076

Thanks for anyone's help who bothers to read this post!

  • Saves are here....

If it is trying to update the game, it will not let you play it and it will be greyed out.  I hope by the time you read this it has already fixed itself..

Thank you for the Saves information!

I don't think it's trying to update because last time DAI updated it actually let me know it was doing it. Now it just sits here with the box art grayed out and unresponsive. There also is no indicator that it is updating (and I've run the computer for over 12+ hours) and when I close out of origin all major .exe's of origin close as well (leaving only origin client service). It still hasn't resolved itself.

I'll be going out of town for a week and don't have the time to reinstall it right now, but as soon as I get back to my rig I guess I'll backup my saves and then uninstall the game unless someone has another solution. If i STILL does this, I'll be right back here in this thread, XD

    Thanks for the info though!
