Dragon Age: Origins - Alistair Crashes

So, i just started playing Dragon Age: Origins again, but every time I talk to Alistair, the game crashes the moment I click on him. Everything works fine in the cut scenes that the game naturally gives you, but any time (camp or when he is in the party) i click on him, the game just crashes. No problems with the other companions.

I've tried:

- 4gb patch

- Turning off sustainable abilities

- Turning all graphics down

- Turning on v-sync

- Updating my graphics driver

- Turning off Origins game overlay

- Selecting only one CPU core thing

Nothing has been able to fix it, and it's literally just him. I'm not sure if its the gear he is wearing or what could interfere with it like this?
