Dragon Age Origins - showing id items/npc instead of names

This behaviour is (usually) related to a mod.

Do you have any installed?

I just saw that all names are existing in mod or "promo" places, but i didnt installed any mods or what, i had them from the beginning, since i installed the game.

I have exactly this very same problem.

I just downloaded Dragon Age: Origins -- Ultimate Edition a couple of days ago. Yesterday I also installed some DLC (Return to Ostagar, Leliana's Song, The Stone Prisoner, etc.) 

But in the areas related to the DLC I only see the codes for interactive objects, items and enemies/npcs. This really destroyed the game experience in Return to Ostagar. Leliana's Song seems completely broken. Not even the names of the two followers are showing, there is no single dialogue and when I look into the first chest at the start the games loops the same animation over and over again and I cannot stop it anymore.

This really sucks and I am considering not to buy the Dragon Age: Inquisition anymore. Seriously, I would expect a game of this seniority to run smoothly.

This is really frustrating. I scoured the net but this problem appears to be non-discussed. Is there any solution?

I have exactly the same problem, I'm trying to retrieve Shall the golem and all quest's objects are having codes name, and they aren't any dialogue loading. The game is 5 years old and bugs like that are real? This is absolutely unnacceptable. If I can't properly finish this game, I will not buy Inquisition. This is completely ridiculous.

I'm gonna try downloading a pirate version of the game. If it works, it would be a big shame for you that's for sure.

I see there is no reply on this or anywhere at Origin forums. I have same problem when purchased the Ultimate edition, maybe would be better to switch on pirate versions and do not expect EA to help ☹️
