Dragon Age Origins DLC missing and Visual C++ Run-time Error

I have a copy of Draogn Age Origins on DVD as well as a Digital Copy of DAO Ultimate Edition from Impulse and both editions are giving these errors

Whe the configureation utility loads I get the Runtime Error that just tells me that "This application requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsusal way. Please contact the application's support team for more information"  The error goes away when I set ti to run in compatability mode for Windows Vista SP2, but it treast every time as the first time the game has run. Ive tried reinstalling the game, both ways and from Origin but nothing changes. I've also tried reinstalling the Visual C++ 2005 Redistrobuteable, though that doesn't work either.

The game can be opened by directly clicking the icon for it in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age\bin_ship" but it doesn't show that any DLC is installed or Available for Download. I've Already tried restarting the Update service and the Updater Diagnostic program doesn't change much either. Although when I go to open the properties for the Updater Service, Im told that "The system cannot find the file specified.

I have the 1.05 Patch installed.

I've Also updated the graphics card drivers, but no change occurred.

I also HAve Dragon Age 2 (Downloaded from Impulse) on my PC and it doesn't give me any of these problems. I also have DAO installed on my Laptop and it works fine there.

Ill include the Laptop's specs for comparison.

So Its been 3 months and I figured out what was wrong with the DLC. The Visual C++ issue was fixed by installing other EA Games from the Humble Origin Bundle. Anyway as for the DLC the problem comes from a corrupted Addins.xml file. I was lucky and had a copy from when my PC ran Windows Vista and Was able to Copy over the corrupted version. Other wise this link was useful in determining the issue - http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/5835211

So I guess that EA didn't get to all the things that can go wrong with DLC...

Now after 2 years of trying to fix DAO I can now play it the way its intended to, On Very High Graphics!

Do I understand that correctly: You are able to run the game in compatibility mode without getting the error message, right?

Now you only have to redeem your code for the additional content of the Ultimate Edition here:

    https://social.bioware.com/redeem_code.php

After that you can start downloading the DLC from your profile on the BSN:

You can log into the BSN with the same account that you use for Origin / this website.

I've actually already tried downloading them seperately and installing them though the DAUpdater program, and it doesnt show that ive installed anything afterwards.

Well The "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater" Is running on my Desktop, although my Laptop calls it the "Dragon Age: Origins Updater" Though I don't know what kind of difference this would make.
