Dragon Age Origins invalid license missing dll error code(s)

Trying to play DA Origins on Windows 11, but whenever I try to launch I get an invalid license missing dll error code. I've tried downloading the nvidia physx solution, but it doesn't make a difference. Is there any other solution out there? I have the game installed on external drive if that makes a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Go to your ".....Dragon Age\__Installer\vc\vc2005sp1\redist" folder rand run the "vcredist_x86.exe" as Administrator. (Right click the exe > Run as Administrator.) > Reboot  > Test.

Same issue. The only change I made was replacing Nvidia card with AMD card.

I wanted to follow up on this thread to see if you're still experiencing issues with the game. If you need any further assistance, please let us know!

    Cheers!

  • Same thing after trying all the aforementioned "fixes". "Invalid license. Reason code = Missing DLL: [NxCharacter.dll] Error: 0x7E."

I am having the same problem.  I purchased this game years ago and have in the past played it.  However now I am getting Invalid license: Reason Code = Missing DLL [MSVCP110.dll] Error 0x7E

I have tried downloading and running the game via the EA desktop App/launcher.  I then bought the game via Steam and ran it through Steam.  Any way I try to start this game I get the above error.  I first installed the game on my gaming drive D.  uninstalled that in installed it in the windows drive C.  Same issue.  I have tried to install the physX from Nvidia but it will not install.  It says I have a newer version already installed.

This is getting super frustrating.  Any help?

If you have a AMD or Intel GPU go here > Download PhysX > Install > Restart the PC > Test

If you have a NVIDIA GPU and you have the latest driver installed, go here > Download PhysX > Install > Restart the PC > Test.

If that don't helps, create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.
