I just had this problem start today as well. I play on two different computers so this really hinders my gaming experience.

There WAS no "Cloud" when DA: O was released, so it only used that storage at second hand, through the Origin System. Origin being a work in progress, under constant change, has to mean that depending on a newer technology with a four year old game is problematic in extreme.
But Origin did have cloud storage running for DA: O for at least a while, and it worked fine. All the cloud storage does is upload and download save game files. I'm not sure why it being an older game would have any effect on that since it's not like it really has to interface with the game. Just move some files around. Mass Effect 1 is even older than DA: O and the cloud storage for that game is still there.
Oh dear, thanks, I thought I was going mad. I've been scouring forums everywhere for a freakin' week now. I suddenly feel less alons. :D
But still quite unhappy. I bought DAO on Origin precisely because of the Cloud Storage option. I play at different locations and on different PCs, and for security reasons absolutely cannot use an external storage device for the saves.
Anybody know if the cloud feature will come back to DAO at one stage? Or if it's gone for good, and my recent purchase of the ultimate edition was for not much?Confirmed.
Yes, it did have cloud storage and it worked.
No, it doesn't have it anymore.
No, I didn't receive any official message one way or another.
Yes, DA:O saves are large data and one can't use many with the cloud. But for those of us careful to manage them, it was a useful feature.
Disappointed it is not longer available. Since DA:2 and ME3 I've not been impressed with Bioware/EA so not at all surprised.

Thank God, I too am not alone.
My hard disk had crashed and I played a lot this game. Although the cloud storage was full because of the save games, it would have been nice to at lease start from a later stage using the cloud storage. I am super sad that they took away this feature. ☹️
Please bring it back soon. Or at least give me back my save files, let me retrieve them.
Good luck getting the cloud saves back ☹️
Still, nothing to stop you manually copying them across....
This happened to a lot of you a year ago, but it worked for me, even when installing on a computer as late as last week. Then I sold my old computer to buy a new one not bothering to back up my cloud saves, as it was working fine and now POOF gone. No warning, no message saying they were removing the feature, nothing.
Origin has been awful for me over all. I really wish EA hadn't of abandoned steam. I've given them the benefit of the doubt when it was a fledgling service, But it's been long enough now that it should be a much more reliable and robust service than it is since it's forced as the only option for EA digital games.- Anonymous10 years ago
Just an update, I was just now on a chat with a very friendly EA advisor which however couldn't solve my problem. I wouldn't know how much he knew about the issue (I suppose chat supporters wouldn't simply know what our online storage data status is), but after efforts and various clean-up and uninstallings things didn't change.
