You will need crowd control. If you have characters that can stun enemies, do so straight away. Send Alistair to the emissary. He has higher resistance against magic and possibly some templay abilities that are effective against mages. The emisarry is top priority and has to be taken down as soon as you can.
If all else fails, use console commands (Windows and Mac only) to give you more potions. I don't know the specifics, so you'll have to look that one up.
Thanks anyway guys I just beat it lol. Used a couple bombs and my wardog finished off the rest! 🙂
