dragon age origins will not load a new area while im in game.

i started playing the dlc about two weeks ago and right after i got anders and defeated the two darkspawn i the next room, i looked at the map and realized the next part would be a new map. well when i tried to enter that part of the game, it wouldnt load. i sat there for about 20 minutes and it would just be the loading screen. i thought it was because i had no wifi, at the time i didnt have access to any wifi and would for another week or so. i waited and when i had wifi i tried again. it still wouldnt load. im not sure what to do and i would really appreciate help. thank you.
