Dragon Age patch 1.05 makes game unopenable

in downloading Dragonage origins ultimate edition the game opens fine unpatched however when patch 1.05 (which is recommended and required considering the glitch with the stone prisoner DLC) the game...

Hey, I was finding the same issue, but it turned out that I didn't need to manually DL 1.05.

Checking a fresh install from Origin it's showing as version 1.05.13263.0, and I had no issues with the Stone Prisoner DLC.
