This fxxking connection problem shoots my PlayStation 3 too! I am planning to re-paly this game on my PlayStation 3 in different class (well I used to play with Rogue), but the game tells me the failing connection every day, every time I play it! However everything goes well on the PC! So, what now?
You may ask why don't play it on PC, well when I do it on my PC every time, I cannot help adding numerous mods.

@EA_AtaashiYou better have an update for us; I’m done being civil.

recently I have been fiddling around with both origins and the second game when I noticed something that literally made me gasp. like, this JUST happened!
recently i created a character, as a test run for achievements I hadn’t earned, and i created her on the icloud saved games (xbox 360). i hardly played her and simply created a new character and moved on, playing offline.
well i just opened the second dragon age and fiddled around with a test run hawke when I opened the import of dragon age origins, and the character was there!
now, i want to mention this-
i play on the xbox 360 platform and I’m not entirely sure how my test warden was there. those of you on xbox, just go to your settings>storage>transfer character(if you have been playing on hard drive, to icloud).
i am going to be further testing it with my canon mage warden and i will try to update whether or not it transfers to the second game.

@MidnightDragonDXLucky you. I can’t seem to use the DLCs either. They download fine, but when I shut my PS3 off and then start up Origins, I get a prompt that says that the DLC data is corrupted, which it obviously isn’t since it works fine when initially downloaded. I believe that has to do with the game’s disconnection form the server and therefore from the PS store, where DLCs like “The Edge” are obtained from. Since the game can’t actively connect to the store, it can’t identify the DLC data. I could be wrong, but that’s what my intuition is telling me...
(I should add that reinstalling the DLCs every time I shut off my system or play another game isn’t an option.)
