This is NOT an acceptable answer. Asking us to use an old patch to fix this issue instead of fixing this bug is wrong. I have over 170 hours in DA2, and all my saves will be lost if I applied this fix in the mannor in which you suggest. Thats a lot of saves to lose to start from scratch. Is that really the best way to resolve this? Can't we simply fix this? How difficult would this be?
Found from :
http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Faith_(quest)
It says:
- A full workaround has been discovered however that allows you to not miss anything or use the console commands (see also Repentance in Act 2). You must enter your Dragon Age II program folder and temporarily delete the patch folder under GameFolder\Addins\da2_prc_drk\module as that's where the interference lies. Then, after completing Faith, restore the patch folder. The source of this information is at Freezing issue in The Exiled Prince DLC
Hope this helps anyone else that may have come across this problem. It helped me when i came upon it.
I realize that this is old, but I wanted to say thank you, Soulesspixie. I gave up on trying to complete this quest, since it always ended up stuck. I cut the folder and moved it somewhere else and it worked, perfectly. 😕mileyvery-happy:

This doesn't help, since when I remove this folder (whoch is the Legacy DLC, which I have completed in all my saves), my saves will not load. So this, too is "sorry, downgrade and lose your saves' under a different name.
Please tell me almost half a year on there is a better answer?????

**bleep** like this is EXACTLY why I am leaving EA after DA:I. I love Bioware, but EA **bleep** ruins ALL of it. Seriously. How hard is it to patch several known issues!? It's NOT. We are talking 14 hrs, TOPS when it comes to the people actually sitting down and doing the work. EA needs to start listening to fans. I'm so **bleep** done with this **bleep**-tastic service soon.

Fans got what they asked for. they rushed bioware and ea to finish da2 and because of that the over all quality sucked. its the same thing that happened to kotor2

@garifchief Do you have any contributions that may be helpful, or are you digging up old threads to complain? EA doesn't post here. If you want to write a complaint, send it to http://help.ea.com/contact-us
is there going to be a fix? Or do I have to just always uninstall and reinstall my game every time I want to do anything with Sebastian?

The workaround was already linked to in this thread. A reinstall is not necessary.
