Dwarf Noble - Can't talk to gorim in prison??

Hey. So I ran into this bug: http://i.imgur.com/ihcS5tj.jpg

It's at the part where I get imprisoned after having been framed for "my brother's" death. Gorim and the guard enter the scene, stop talking, and just stay there as you can see in the screenshot. I'm tried reverting saves countless times but to no avail. Restarting doesn't work either.

TBH, it's extremely disappointing to see this bug still exists so many years after its release, apparently others were having this problem 3 years ago but got no solution or official reply: http://social.bioware.com/forum/topic/58/index/481806

Does anyone have a solution they found? And Bioware, fix this game breaking bug, I think it'd be long overdue anyway.

Hey, is this the bug where the guard never gets close enough to talk to? He walks toward the cell, then sort of stops half-way?

If so, turns out the fix is to enable v-sync in the video options. No idea why, but if that's what's happening, then that's the solution. (Weird, I know.)

On full HD, activating V Sync works.

There are actually a few times this can happen throughout the game. NPC movement bugs are something you'll run into along the way and the best way to fix the issue is to load to a previous save just before the movement bug. As soon as you see the NPC in question begin to move along their programed path, save immediately. Now load that save and you should see the NPC begin to move along their path normally. Took me a couple of tries in the Noble Dwarf storyline but I managed to talk to Gorim. Repeat this method whenever the movement bug pops up again in the game.

On windows 11, with v sync already enabled and Gorrim was still stopping short. I tried going into the corner, zooming out the camera and trying to talk to gorrim and it worked instantly.
