[EA app] DA:O crashing when loading an area in game

I've recently got a new laptop and DA:O keeps crashing early on in the game when it has to load a new area (playing as a city elf, it crashes when I try to leave my house to the alienage.) I've tried updating my PC, repairing the file, the 4gb patch, etc. On my previous laptop I had no problems playing DAO and have run out of ideas to try to get it to work, I've attached the DxDiag for my laptop, I'd appreciate any help

Try to disable EA app overlay:
    EA App > Profile Picture > Settings > Application > In-game overlay > Off.

If that don't helps, repair the game.

(Origin: Game Library > Right-click the game cover > Repair)
(EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)

Unfortunately neither of those worked ☹️ but I'm happy to give any other ideas a go
