[EA app] I keep getting asked to activate my game through Origin

For context: I bought my game through Steam ages ago. Now it's modded. I haven't played in months and launched it - as I always did - through Frosty. I got a notification saying I need the latest DataPathFixPlugin.dll file, so I downloaded it and put it in the right folder. I try to launch the game again and get a popup from EA saying I need to activate the game through my Origin account. Weird. I try to log in and got this (screenshot attached). It feels like every single time I try to play Dragon Age: Inquisition, EA's always got some hoops I need to go through. Can anybody tell me how to fix this? Thank you!

Pleases clean reinstall Steam with Revo as well.
Have you uninstalled the game with Revo?

If that still don't work I would suggest to install the game to a different drive.

We need to vanilla the game to see if one of the mods or frosty is the problem.

Move the "Patch_ModManagerMerge" and the "Patch" folder from the "....\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\" folder to the Desktop or a other folder outside of the game folder.

    Repair the game:

(EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)

    Test.

Thank you for replying! I followed your steps and made sure Steam and EA weren't running in the background before deleting the folder and then launching the game (tried both through Frosty and just normally launching it) and it still showed me the Origin activation popup.

    • Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
    • Delete the "License" folder.
    • Test
