@EA/BIOWARE - PATCH FOR PC VERSION? RELEASE DATE?

I am aware that there have been statements made about a patch for the game across all platforms,

IS there an update on the patch for PC version?

What issues will it address/fix?

What is currently being worked on?

When can we expect it to be implemented/launched/released?

Yup, hopefully that helps some folks.

The new Catalyst version can be gotten here and is version 14.12

just tried that link...cannot conncet to that server.....

not sure if it's just because so many people are trying to download it, or if it's a broken link.

Here is a link to an official bioware press release, about the patches...

    upcoming patches

  • I just downloaded and installed the new Catalyst version. Prior to this my problem has been stuttering in game and very, very low fps. With 14.12 I can't even open DA:I any more, it is getting stuck on the black screen with the blinking logo. Oops, setting my hopes on the patch. 😕mileyhappy:

@grumpyweasel Your DxDiag looks pretty clean, thanks for posting it. Just curious, did you get prompted to uninstall the previous driver when you were getting the new one installed?

    Cheers,

    Nils

Just a simple question related to this... How, or better, where can I check and download the upcoming patches on my PS4?? I cannot see a place call "Update" or something like that.

Thank you, and sorry for this silly question.

  • I'm installed the last AMD Catalyst (14.12) and it looks like my game now has bigger time loading screens than before. It is just me? I hope the patch fix freezes problems too. I'm enjoying the game very much but that drives me crazy on battles.

Go to notifications>  under Downloads you should see your update files.

Seems it has not roll out yet for PS4. Im dissabling my auto updates till I see everyone post that the patch didnt break anything even more DX (this has happend in other games)

As for the banter bug, oddly, i found out (first reported on Reddit) how to fix that, at least for me (PC).

Basically, go into your Journal, and mark all quests/collections as 'read'. That is, go to current AND Completed Quests, and make sure that you click on each quest to make the little star go away (ie, that you have acknowledged/read/whatever the quest). After doing this (and i had a LOT of completed quests with that little star) it took a couple minutes for it to do the whole 'QUEST COMPLETED' bit for each quest... and boom. Banter. It was amazing.

YMMV, of course, but for me at least, it worked, so i thought I'd share. (Tumblr link: http://abyssdreams.tumblr.com/post/104768868909/pyreo-i-tried-this-myself-and-it-does-actually)

Hi Nils, I don't think I was prompted to uninstall first so I uninstalled and installed afresh. Seems to have done the trick and cleared up some conflict because I can open the game again hurrah!! 🙂 Maybe people who suddenly can't open the game or are getting inordinately long loading times all of a sudden with AMD should try this? Thanks for your help!

Unfortunatley I am still getting the stuttering/very low frame rate isue in game though, even with this resolved and the patch. I have barely played but it seems to be worse when my Inqusitor is hanging out with bunches of NPCs and better when she is romping around the wilderness alone. Not sure what that means (perhaps she is just introverted haha).
