ETA for next patch to fix original issues + new ones from last patch and hotfix

Pretty self explanatory.

Many here, myself included, have posted thousands of posts in hundreds of threads regarding tech issues and bugs, both game breaking or just immersion breaking.

A patch was released that corrected some issues, offered half measures or workarounds for others, and outright ignored many more. What's worse, many people have experienced worse issues due to the patch, resulting in a hotfix being issued. A hotfix which seems to have also done more harm than good.

We do not doubt that BioWare is working on correcting the issues. Yet it becomes frustrating when your players, the people that love this game as much as you do, don't SEE that you care and are working on it.

It's the lack of communication that's worse than the issues themselves. The issues, we believe, will be worked out. Yet we have hundreds, thousands of posts asking for help. We have maybe 3 since the patch where anyone has officially made comment. 2 of those were to close threads and refer posters to a thread on workarounds.

On Twitter I personally had @dragonage ask me what platform I play on when I asked about any patches. Upon mentioning I play on a PC and offering the details of my issue... I've heard nothing more.

You know what would be better? Even a daily update of:
"Hey guys, the team is still working to identify the issue with... Some challenges have been...  Anticipate the next patch will include... No timeline as of yet but seeing progress..."

This sort of inclusive dialogue does wonders in making your fans feel included in the process. It'd make us feel like maybe you care about the issues we're dealing with.

We just want word.

TL:DR

/sign if you just want an official response with ANY information on a regular basis.

  • Bumping.

Still not seeing any official word on a timeline for the next patch. We've had some scattering "workarounds" around the additional issues caused by Patch 2 and Hotfix.

    What gives?

Yes its a shame they are not comunicating. I can only prey the rest of the issues are going to be addressed along with the game breaking ones (i dont want tan pants)

That's exactly my point. We know they'll work on the ones that prevent the game from running, but we don't really know that they'll fix the ones that ruin the experience for those of us that have experienced bugs but can still run the game. If I wanted to restart over, again, I could. Not the point though.

  • This thread is 100% correct. I can't even launch the game and it's frustrating. But if they just made some aknowledgemnt that they were aware of the issue and were working on it I would feel so much happier about spending my money on this game. Because as it stands I've paid full price for a little icon on my desktop and that's it.

  • By certain issues, are you talking about the never-ending "Connecting to Dragon Age Servers ..." ? That's my problem. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon, I'd like to enjoy the break I have during christmas to play.

  • Actually, I take that back. I play on the Xbox One, and I fixed it temporarily by unplugging my xbox and then plugging it back in after waiting about a minute.

I know what you mean. Without any idea of when they'll implement some sort of in game fix for some of these issues I've been staring at an icon as well. Were we to base our expectations on official responses we would be forced to conclude we spent $60 on... nothing. I keep being tempted to start up again but... why? What's the point? I'd have to design a character with the **bleep** bugs in the game in mind, and replay through 60ish hours of content to get to where I am with my broken character.

Sounds like a ton of holiday fun... except nope. I even booked time off work to play on launch. What a bloody waste of my time.
