This game won't play on my fat ps3. I can't get passed the character selection screen. It just turns off my ps3 and I have to reset the ps3 to turn it back on. I can't even play the game, I get to the character selection screen, the ps3 blinks and then the game turns off my ps3. I downloaded the patch and did the install, what is the problem. My ps3 has no problems with any other game I play, just this one turns my system off.
It sounds like it may be overheating. First try carefully vacuuming the exterior vents.

Can it overheat from less than 30 seconds of gameplay? I hit start to begin the game, then I go to the character race selection screen. This makes the system turn off. I can not make any characters or play the game at all, it won't go past the first seconds during character selection and class selection. I can play any other game I own for hours on end with no problem, this game just turns off my system. I don't think it is an overheating problem.
thanks for the help though. I will return the game and warn anyone else about getting this game, I would suggest trying it out from a friend or gamefly first before buying it.
