Fight Through the Sha-Brytol not progressing

I'm at the Deep Roads, playing The Descent DLC quest.

My current objective is Fight Through the Sha-Brytol, which I already did. I have even broken the five-part barrier.

The in gameplay objective has changed to Defeat the Remaining Enemies, but there is none visible.

However, the radar shows a red dot in the water. Maybe an enemy fell there, but I can't see it and I can't attack it.

The door leading to the last camp in this level is not interactive. I can't save or fast travel. I can't backtrack since a couple of barriers now block the way back.

I'm stuck. The game won't progress and there seems to be nothing I can do.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your time.

  • Can you target the enemy if you go into tactical mode? Sometimes for weird bugs like this that helps, as long as you have a mage in your party who can attack regardless of distance/obstacles.

Otherwise, all I can suggest is loading a previous save, hopefully there's an autosave that isn't from too far back.

Sorry if that's not much help.

  • Nope, I can't target it. It's down in the water it seems. However, the red dot gets brighter when I go higher so it may be stuck into the stone.

I think this enemy (a Bolter most probably) has been there since almost the beginning of this lengthy battle. I would hate to go back.

My latest autosave is two hours old. =(

    Thanks for your reply.

Ah, that sucks ☹️ . I tend to save excessively during Descent, as I know it's extra buggy.
Do you have a mage with an AoE attack that you can target in the general area and hope it hits the hidden enemy?

Yeah, running low on ideas today. 😛 Sometimes I miss the spells from Origins.

  • I've been trying to hit the area with every ability available from every character, but I don't think I'm having success.

I even managed to go behind the stone myself but couldn't find the enemy.

Edit: I ended up quitting the game thus losing a two-hour battle progress. I guess next time I'll start all over, luckily with a better strategy.

Thanks for your help, Niah_Dark. 👍
