Has anyone found a solution to the crashes on Dragon age inquisition?. I am so disappointed in this game. took me a day to work out how to actually get the darn thing to load. I had to read throug...
Thanks for getting back to me @luv1another
Looks like there are a couple other threads on this as well where some other Dragon Age players found workaround solutions for this. Can you let me know if those help out at all?

It looks like you have DirectX 12 installed. I've seen some success from others by going back to DirectX 11 or rolling your video card driver back to the previous state and then re-downloading the newest one.
I'm very sorry this is happening to you! Please keep us updated in the thread and good luck.
@EA_Blueberryso I have spent all afternoon trying to fix this...you cannot uninstall DX12 only repair ☹️ so tried that, tried using the window setting and everything else the threads suggested. Nothing is working which is annoying.
I am now getting this pop up though after the game crashes and my computer wont do anything but running a repair doesnt seem to do anything... I really wish I never laid eyes on inquisition after all the annoyance its caused.
It's unfortunate to hear those additional steps didn't work. I think it will be best if we get one of our advisors in touch with you via live-chat or phone so they can walk you through some other steps that should fix this for you. For something like this it's difficult to find an exact solution that will work for everyone because there are so many different types of PC setups out there, so we'll need to try as many steps as we can to see what sticks. We sincerely apologize you're going through all these steps for this game but it's a truly amazing experience once we get in running for you the way it should.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you enjoy the weekend.
Your issue may come down to your GPU being below min specs. http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R7-Graphics-vs-Radeon-HD-4870
The R7 isn't that good of a graphics chip, and really isn't designed for higher end gaming...and even though DAI is an older game, it is a bit on the higher end of specs for play when you are talking non-gaming laptops and computers. You may get lucky by turning down all graphics, and making sure nothing else is drawing on your system, such as background processes, and such since the R7 shares some memory with the main system. But honestly, if you are looking to game much then you will really need to upgrade your system to a gaming laptop, with a more dedicated graphics system or move over to a computer tower based system that allows more flexibility in what you can put in it.
@mcsupersport@EA_BlueberryI only just got this laptop less than a year ago and specifically asked for a laptop that would play games..everyone talked me out of the gaming laptop and said this one was fantastic. I should just go with my gut and not listen to husbands and salesmen grr. Anyway have tried lowering graphics and playing in comparability mode for windows 8. The sales guy even looked at the dragon age inquisition specs and said it would play easily. so any games along the same sort of thing as dragon age I can play? RPG single player not into the Multiplayer games...I am not co-ordinated enough lol ( I did play one once) just like to plod along and do my own thing
If you are looking at gaming on the high end, latest and greatest games, then honestly, this laptop isn't really for you. Look to spend double at a minimum for a good gaming laptop to what that one should have retailed for. Never trust salesmen to know about specs and the like....always price around, look at specs, research and basically do your own legwork. Yours should play older games without issue, and you may get it to run DAI with a bit of luck and work, but DAI, and Skyrim Special Edition are at the limit of what that machine can really handle. Now if you were playing Sims, or roblox or some of the more basic games then sure it would be fine, but for true PC gaming, that laptop is on the low end.
