fools rush in quest broken

I was in dragon age 2 for the PS 3 doing the quest fools rush in to get the melee rouge I got the key item to get into the chantry when I get there the game doesn't recognize the key item and a plot wall for the quest does not drop I get stuck I have the dragon age 2 signature edition can you fix this with a ps 3 patch asap please
