Game breaking bug around 10 hours in

I'm playing on PC, I am around 10 hours in after choosing mages and fighting Alexius there is a cutscene (right after we go back in time) and I get stuck there. No dialogue wheel appears and I appear to enter combat mode and it's stuck like that. There are some other cutscenes before this one and the dialogue wheel appeared there normally. I tried loading 3 different saves and this always happens. I can't play ☹️

I have confirmed that all three of your solution steps are needed.
1. Change control scheme to keyboard/mouse
2. Load save from before the fight, save the game and exit
3. Repair the game
Once you start up, load the new save you created from before the fight and you should be good. I tried each one at a time and the only way to proceed and get the dialog options to appear was to complete all three items. Thank you so much for posting this!

I have this same problem. I tried reloading and trying different dialog options and it always ends with me still being in combat when the cutscene ends. Still trying to look for a solution. =(

Fix below?
As you can see on the screenshot I was playing with an xbox 360 controller. After switching my controls to keyboard+mouse (to my surprise) the cutscene worked normally, the dialogue wheel showed up and I was finally able to advance past this part. If that doesn't work then try to load an earlier save (just before the fight), make a new save then restart your game and load that save. I did that just before switching to keyboard+mouse so I'm not sure which one helped.

Oh, and I also used the "Repair Install" feature in Origin in the meantime. One of these three things helped.

Yes same problem on PC, i tried everything.
Really BioWare? You give us a great game again and put a **bleep** plotstopper bug in it?

If its on PC, some people have recommended going to the ORIGIN overlay and that apparently makes the dialogue wheel show.

Ok, well thats weird, i wanted to try that and i had to disable fraps since it blocks the origin overlay and now it worked immediately, without even having to go into the overlay.
Well thanks anyway because i probably wouldnt have tried that otherwise :-)

I a my also having this problem. How do I get the Origin overlay? And how do I repair install?

I tried your suggested fix and IT DID NOT WORK. I only use mouse and keyboard, and don't run any other programs (such as fraps). HELP,!!

I have had the same problem and the fix did not work for me. I only use the keyboard and mouse.

sorry ,very bad inglish .
same bug here ,the fix don't work AND i can't choose mantle as my API.
i don't want choose the templar path ,so i will be doing side quests (hope a patch don't take too long).
