Apparently demo tutorial is something that comes with the toolset. Maybe you should try installing that. It can be found on https://www.dragonagekeep.com when you go to the downloads page.
I can't imagine why the game would require this, though.
Thanks for the response! It was in fact a problem that could be fixed using the toolset. I still have no idea why the game required this to load, but I just followed the instructions here on the DA Toolset wiki: http://www.datoolset.net/wiki/Demo_module and it worked and I was able to load the game!
