Game closes when creating Hawke

quite the same problem, custom seams to work, default crash, tried about 10 times already

I have the same issue. Game just exits to desktop if I select Default Hawke appearance

I have the same problem. Immediate crash to desktop for default Hawke. Custom Hawke worked the first time I tried it, but I exited out to save and test the default second and now the custom Hawke won't work either, it just knocks out the conversation ui.

The Hawke customization/conversation is apparently bugged to hell and back, be sure to check if your character voice has changed too.

Any chance we could get a response or update from EA/Bioware on this bug?

I have the same problem.  I'd rather not progress past this point without the bug being fixed.  I don't want to have my Hawke locked into an oddly misshapen custom version.

At this point I just want acknowledgement that they've seen this and are working on it. I wonder how long until a fix comes? I refuse to play past this point until I can do it.

I got this problem too...  I really hope someone from Bioware will look at this ☹️

I just retried the conversation and went striaght to custom Hawke, and after a moment of stuttering, got sent to the creation screen. The whole conversation played out perfectly fine since then. I have no idea why it's working now, because nothing's changed since I last tried it, but maybe it'll work for others, too.

Strange. I didn't have this problem.

I made two custom characters and used one preset. The game crashed AFTER this, at the point in the intro where your character is getting on his feet and start walking up the stairs. Exactly when he raises his hands towards the white silhouette on top of the stais the game crashes to the desktop.

I guess it is when these monsters start showing (crab or spider things).
