Game crashes at "Caer Oswin"

During "Promise of Destruction" quest, everytime I try to step inside the castle "Caer Oswin", the game crashes. I see a red templar running and then the game crashes to desktop. Restarting the game or windows did not work. Help would be very much appreciated.

  • I have exactly the same problem. I open that door and than the game crashes to desktop without any failure notice at all.

Edit: Okay, turned off "Multisample Antialiasing" and it didnt crashed.

thank you for having the same problem and actually being able to think of trying this, because it indeed worked. I was also suspicious of the graphic settings as the culprit but only tried lovering mesh settings. Alas turning anti aliasing off fixes it. thanks again.

  • Same issue here.  And nothing cheeses me off than buying a game and then finding out that for some reason, it will not run at it's full capacity without crashing.  I'll try dropping the graphicsa and see if that helps.

  • I just had the same problem, switching to post-processing anti-aliasing fixed it. Switching back to MSAA after getting further in the castle still crashes the game, for anyone with this issue in the future. I've run into this issue a few times. Strange. Hoping this doesn't become an issue with Bioware games. Never had a problem before DAI. Bioware has always been good at making their games run extremely well with all types. Thinking maybe it's due to the new game engine, and they'll be able to work out the kinks for newer games (such as Andromeda). I hope. Regardless, turning off MSAA for a single quest is easy enough.
