Game Crashing When Starting Awakening

I own the game on Steam and after completing the main game I went to start Awakening but the game crashes on the initial loading screen. I have tried:

  • Verifying the game's files
  • Removing all mods
  • Installing everything in the redist folder
  • Reinstalling the game
  • Running the game in Compatibility Mode
  • Running the game with my antivirus disabled
  • Changing the game's graphics from High to Medium
  • Using the Task Manager to limit the game to one core
  • Installing NVIDIA Legacy PhysX Drivers
  • Deleting DragonAge.ini

I've already patch the game to be Large Address Aware.

    Regarding the pinned thread:
    1. Crash when attempting to start the Awakening campaign.

    2. Every time I select Dragon Age: Awakening from Other Campaigns on the Main Menu.

    3. The initial loading screen.
    4. Start the game > Select Other Campaigns. > Select Dragon Age: Awakening.

    5. Game has been patched to be Large Address Aware so that the main game can actually be played without crashing. Mods are installed but the game still crashes when they are removed.

I've just tried redeeming the Steam key and installing the Origin version instead. Still crashes.
UPDATE: I found the .dmp file generated by the crash, and according to it, the crash is caused by a Memory Access Violation due to a null pointer read.
