Game not launching
I just purchased and downloaded/installed the game of the year edition. Origin launches, and I get to the game library, click on play game and the screen flashes to the desktop for 1-3 seconds and I'm back at the play game on the Origin game library. Data will sync with cloud but not launch the game.
DAI has never been installed on this PC before.
There are no mods installed.
I have tried a clean reboot.
Verified files.
Toggled the enable Origin In Game for DAI GotY)
Toggled the enabling of cloud saves.
Made the Origin games (where DAI is located) and Origin exceptions on Avast. Have even uninstalled/removed Avast altogether.
Reinstalled directx and vcredist files in the _installer folder.
Tried launching in Windows 7 compatibility move and as administrator.
Uninstalling DAI and reinstalling.
Nothing has worked and I have restarted the PC several times after trying different methods.
I really don't know what else to do. ☹️

This is a laptop, so next step is to make sure your machine is using the 950m video card and NOT the intel HD graphics. If the machine uses the Intel, it will likely crash or not run, so you should be able to go into Nvidia graphics control panel, and make sure that the Nvidia is the only thing being used with the game.
Aswhook showing up in DXDiag file could simply be that the logs haven't reset, or been cleared and you are reading the older crashes. You may also try a clean boot and see if the game starts, as there are several programs that can along with AVG/AVAST cause this issue.
