Game program file disappeared after installing update.

I re-downloaded Dragon Age: Origins on my computer because I wanted to start playing it again. I had promo codes I never used last time, and therefore decided to use them this time. They weren't downloading so I clicked on the pop-up menu that told me to click "OK" to go to a website for help. After downloading the patch 1.05 onto my computer, I attempted to run the program from my desktop shortcut... It didn't open. So I opened my start menu and it was gone. Then, I searched for it in the Windows start menu search engine, and it came up under "Programs," but when I try to run it, it says,

"Windows can't open this file:

File:   Dragon Age Origins.lnk

To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use..." and so on. I have no idea what happened, like I said, I just downloaded the patch and it stopped working for me.

Did you download the game from Origin? If yes, please open the folder "Origin Games" which should be on your C drive in the Program Files / Program Files (x86). Then locate the Dragon Age Origins Folder and open it. In the Dragon Age Origins folder should be a file called "DAOriginsLauncher.exe" which you can use to start your game. Right-click on this file to create a desktop shortcut.
