General help with crafting in DA: IPlease

1.) There are several vendors throught thedas that you can purchase blank runes from.

Orlais, skyhold (after completeing war room mission to obtain more merchants) not the guy you by influence from, but a lady in a stall across from him. a couple of keeps/strongholds you acquire during game play, that have market stalls in them. 

2.) yes, you get recipies, that range from standard to masterpiece. and you get those by veil fire gliffs during gameplay. keep all of your elemental essences for those... i.e. ice essence, fire essence, lyrium essence, spirit essence, and thier dirivatives.

3.)the weapons and their upgrades, armor and it's upgrades, that you create are not level restricted. however they are class restricted.

4.) yes there are better ores, herbs linens, etc, that you collect during gameplay. and they are all over.

5.) no it is not retro active. they are only from the time of creation forward.... unless you mean the ones you and your companions are already carrying.. then yes, those get the upgrades.
