Help Accessing Content in DA:I GOTY PS4 Deluxe Content inc Soundtrack

Hi,

I recently purchased a copy of Dragon Age Inquisition GOTY, with the incorporated Deluxe content installed on my PS4 (standard).

This was from the PSN UK site. It was digital download only and I have no code that I can easily identify, other than the order number on the standard receipt from PSN UK.

Despite having logged into the servers in the game and begun playing the game and followed all the instructions I can find,

I cannot download the sountrack from the DA online site.

There is no option to do so, due to it not picking up that I have the Deluxe add on features installed. It seems that there are lots of users that have had this issue in the past.

In trying to find out what to do, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with this site as many of the links and articles go to 'page does not exist',

including the instructions in the thread here:

https://answers.ea.com/t5/Dragon-Age-Inquisition/INFO-Unable-to-download-soundtrack-with-Digital-Deluxe-Edition/m-p/3993129/highlight/true#M1595

and this ...

https://help.ea.com/en/article/downloading-the-dragon-age-inquisition-soundtrack/

And also, the box that appears on the right with options to access other content - see jpeg, goes to no page exists.

I've checked the details on linking my PSN/EA accounts and as far as I can tell, they are linked. This is the same ID I used for Tiger Woods games some years back.

I'd be glad to hear from anyone who can explain how to a) access the various add-ons in the GOTY/Deluxe edition and specifically b) how to download the soundtrack when the standard instructions do not seem to work or apply.

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards, Dibnahs_Revenge

  • I've been having this issue as well.  I have all the in game items from all the DLC, including the deluxe items but when trying to get the soundtrack, tells me I need to have the deluxe or inquisitor edition. And after 2 hours between waiting for chat and trying to talk to chat, they basically said sorry, post the bug on the forum and then just gave me a link and saw me off on my way. I know it's a petty thing for such a small item that doesn't really affect the game in anyway, but I happen to really enjoy soundtracks from my games and would be really upset if I have to purchase something I've already paid for.

    Hi Gralul,

Thank you for your comment on my question.

I have every sympathy with you on this and my view, FWIW, is quite simple.

All DLC is related to the game and is not at all small or petty. We paid for it using our money, so it seems perfectly reasonable to ask how to obtain it.

A soundtrack represents many, many hours of toil and creative input from professional composers, musicians and technicians.

For some games, it's arguably the best component.

In the UK at least, we have the Consumer Rights Act, which covers ‘data which are produced and supplied in digital form’, noting that it must be 'as described by the seller'.

The use of the term 'bug' is interesting since the act notes that a retailer is responsible for goods until they are in your physical possession.

Whilst that might not help you if outside the UK, if you excuse the pun, EA knows the score. I'm sure they are able to solve this repeat issue quickly.

Perhaps a helpful support member might just read the above and chip in with a helpful response, or workaround solution.

    Have a great weekend,

  • Sorry, but no one here can do anything for you.  The AHQ is for player-to-player technical self-help and game play discussions. When you post here you are not talking to BioWare, EA, Sony, or Microsoft.  We're all just fellow gamers, doin' the best we can...

The only people who can assist with account, log-on, purchase, player entitlements, (which is what this issue is) or refund issues are the EA Game Advisors.

You can reach them at help.ea.com/contact-us.

Choose the "Contact Us" or "Chat" option (not "AHQ, you've already done that.)

    ProTips:
    1. Be at your gaming rig.
    2. Be logged-on to your EA/Origin account (unless that's the problem, obviously.)
    3. Be able to spend 10-30 minutes "on hold" before reaching someone.

    Good Luck!  🤓

    Thank you Thandal,

That is really useful to know and I appreciate the advice.

I'll get logged in, use the link to EA and see what happens.

If there is a solution, or something obvious that I should have done and completely missed, I'll update this post.

    All the best, d_rev
