OK I know some people have already brought up the voice change after customizing hawke.
I have had it happen as well. So I went back to the skyhold milestone save. Figured I would wait for the patch.
I was wondering how safe is it to just wait on the Hawke meeting and do side quests?
Is there stuff available at this point that will cancel out the event?
I kind of doubt it but wanted to check with people first.
Community AdminAs I understand it the Hawke quest pushes forward the main storyline, but doesn't affect sidequests. Perhaps varric's personal storyline won't progress if you don't meet Hawke yet, but I haven't personally done much of it.

Yeah its odd how much the change takes you out of the game.
Luckily the part with hawks is not long after the milestone save.
Hopefully the patch will fix it for people who saved afterwards.
