How do you rebind 'console' key?

I find combat almost completely unplayable, as I often hit the tilda instead of '1'. This of course eats the rest of my keypresses, but doens't pause the game. When I notice, and then close the console, bound keys and mouse don't work correctly anymore.

I can't find the console keybinding.

  • It cannot be rebound.

    You can only do this:

Pause before combat or enter tactical so as to not be punished by pressing a wrong button.

Change your ability bindings (Less preferable)

Try your best to not press it (don't mean to sound like a **bleep** here)

I've seen a bunch of other folks complaining about the same things in other threads. They really did a half-a** job with the port.

I also agree, they need an option to disable this feature.  I don't want to have to use my xbox controller just so i don't hit this issue.

They don't need to remap it, just add an option to disable the console and it should be an Opt-IN feature (off by default).

  • I've looked everywhere for a solution to this, and haven't been able to find one. Seems to be a problem for all Origin games, would have thought it would be simple to add a feater to change or disable the console key inn the Origin game launcher.

Anyway, I have my own solution - I pulled the key out - problem solved.

In my Corsair keyboard the keys are pretty well designed to be taken out so I can just put it back in when I want to use the console
