How to change the default save game location?

Hello,

Dragon age Inquisition is saving the game in a default location, but I would like to change the location (mainly because the default is a disc that is in the process of dying).

I reinstalled origin on the new disc and installed dragon age Inquisition on the new disc, but still it saves in the old save folder (D:\My Documents\BioWare). If I delete this directory, dragon age simply makes the directory again. I want it to go to G::\My Documents\BioWare, but where and how do I change the default location. 🙂

Thank you for your help,

Semi

This is how I do it if the game or launcher doesn't have a native option for it.

You can do the same through command line but the tool above makes it easier.

    1. Cut/Paste the Bioware/Save folder wherever you want

    2. Right Click on the Bioware/Save folder in its new location and "Pick Source"

    3. Right Click in the folders original location (in "Documents") and click "Drop as... Junction". Make sure you go the actual Documents folder and not the Documents "Library" if you are using Windows 7/8, otherwise you won't get the right context menu to drop a junction.

  • Mine is similar to that.  My Bioware\Dragon Age\Addins  Bioware\Dragon Age\Logs  Bioware\Dragon Age\Offers  Bioware\Dragon Age\packages Bioware\Dragon Age\Settings are all in my OneDrive documents
