There is "keep game installers..." checkbox in the preferences.
I have the latest Mac OS X. version.
Like others have said, that box is checked and there isn't an installer for the game. This particular game, apparently, downloads directly to the Applications folder.
I monitored all disk activity while downloading DA II and thats the only place.
HOWEVER.
I have Sim City (The new one) I tried to open Dragon Age II and got the same error. I opened Sim City, then, while that was opening, I opened Dragon Age II.
It opened the game and the activation App for Sim City, but allowed Dragon Age II to open completely. Now I can play. Weird, but what I think happened, is the game, Dragon Age II, needs to be activated (Even after the patch and an already activated game) I think it's looking for that information and errs out. By opening Sim City, it gave me an Error for Sim City saying NO LICENSE, but allows DAII to open and write any files that show the game is activated.
