inquisition won't close

Recently I can't get inquisition to close. I have windows 10 and I run avast antivirus. It worked fine for a long time but now suddenly when I tell it to exit it hangs, for at least five minutes. I can't close it using task manager either. Eventually a window comes up that says windows has found a problem with inquisition and it searches for an answer, which it never finds. The program runs but it hangs more lately. It could be one of the updates that have occurred, but I wouldn't know which one...

Initially, try just completely disabling Avast to see if that has an effect.

If that does not change anything, check if uninstalling recent Windows updates helps (you can reinstall those).

Clearing your Origin cache also cannot hurt.
