Inquisitor has basically become Tranquil - Xbox One

After several hours of playing Jaws of Hakkon, I encountered a game breaking bug. My inquisitor has somehow been disabled from the game. Enemies don't acknowledge me and my party doesn't follow me anymore. I can't interact with anything (loot or doors) either. The Character Record shows me as only being Level 1, and two skill trees have disappeared (Inquisitor and Assassin). The other party members work fine. If I switch to one of them, the rest of the party minus the Inquisitor follows them and enemies respond to them. Also, my hat doesn't show up, even though I have the headgear setting turned on. I tried loading earlier saves, but most of them, have been affected by the bug as well. Another thing that happens in the earlier saves is that if I go to the War Room, upon exit, I don't actually exit. I just get stuck in the War Room and can't leave. The only save which doesn't appear to be affected by the bug is my earliest save from the Winter Palace. If I go back that far, I may as well just start over. Is there any option for me besides a full restart at this point? I have my Xbox set to automatically update games, so I should have the latest patch, but there's no way to actually check if that's true or not. It's kind of a bummer since I just dropped $30 for Descent and Trespasser.
