Interaction Bug

During my game I am having a really obnoxious interaction bug that is making it difficult for me to interact with objects such as doors and often times even NPC's. For example, during the quest 'In your heart shall burn' it took me 3 minutes of spam clicking on the wheel to interact with the trebuchet. Additionally, since it is a timed event I am unable to save any of the NPC's within the town because I cannot interact with them. I am able to click on them but the player character simply studders like he is attempting to interact, but nothing actually happens.

  • sounds like you have come across the same issue I was having, where I couldn't do quests or even call a mount. it ended up being a corrupt save file. the walkaround I came up with was to close the game like a crash, go into the save files directory :\

    C:\Users\{yourname}\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save

and cut EVERYTHING out of the folder and create a new OLD SAVES folder in the subdirectory /bioware and paste the files there.

relauch the game and click ok on the cloud sync message, relaunch again and continue, as Cloud has reinserted your saved files.

this should correct your issue, but we all know each system and problem is unique so let us know if this worked for you, so others can try it.

Try use "F" button, that is analog of mouse interaction by default settings.

Great to hear that you got it sorted @Drblackout7 but as this thread is nearly a decade old I will close it.
