Locked out of required quest
I have a registered version of Dragon Age 2 and I'm trying to go on the deep roads expedition, but I can't because I haven't finished the Wayward Son mission. It says that the quest should be in the Darktown, but when I go there I can't complete it. The Journal says I need to search dead slavers for clues as to where the son might be, and I had a feeling it might have been in the elve's base underneath of the city, but now I can't get to it, so I can't complete the quest. I've tried both night and day and nothing seems to work, how do I unlock the location so that I can finish the quest?
He probably did drop the map, but stupidly, instead of telling the guy that I wanted to stay and look around, I told him I needed to get him back to the guard as fast as I could and then it teleported me and I couldn't go back to pick it up, in the process of the save, though, it looks like I'll just have to start completely over instead, since I didn't see it as a problem at the time...
