Lost all saved games in the past gaming session

Hello,

I just lost 3+ hours of saves on my PC version of the game. Saving as normal, on 3x different save locations and when I am about to proceed

further into the game, the game freezes and I am forced to end the session through the control panel. After jumping back to the game, voila, none of the game saves done in the past hours are here. So,

a.) how to restore the saves

b.) how to prevent this to happen in the future

Thanks for letting me know, I have little patience because the PC port proves to be terrible and I am encoutering trouble on every corner...but this was the cherry.

EDIT: already did the "restoration" via origin, its useless.
