I've been trying to get my game started with the world state I have on the keep. But for some odd reason, every time I press the option button to start after the title screen. It just says connecting to server then stays on a black screen Forever!. I've tried everything, deleting and reinstalling everything, delete save data, deleted everything on the ps4, used every options on my router. Still same result! I can get to the offline game by disconnecting the internet, but I have to use the default world state, which I don't want! I just want to get my saved world state I've made based off my origins and da 2. But any attempts to login on the server leads to a forever black screen. How can this be solved?

Got off the phone with EA Support, basically the issue is if your PSN account is not linked with Origin it won't connect to the servers. This can be the case if you've never played another EA game on your PS4 that had to connect to their servers before. Solution for me was to download the Fifa 17 demo, which if you're having trouble finding in the store, just do a search on google for Fifa 17 PS4 demo and it should take you to it. Then open the game, it will connect to the servers, it will ask for your EA account, now make sure to use the same e-mail and password that you use for the account on Dragon Age Keep and such. After it's logged in and all, just close the game, open DAI and presto, it works.

My Ps4 copy stays stuck on black screen after title screen.

I have the same problem with my new ps4. I'm going through different threads and I'm totally shocked that it's been there since the very launch but who cares! I can't believe it.

Not only do I have the same problem, I actually got a hold of EA support. They wanted to verify stuff with Sony, and at that point I said I was going to get a refund.
I got the GOTY sale, and even though the policy is no refunds, Sony said they would look into this and in a couple days let me know if they will make an exception.
I havent played a second of it because of that screen.

I am also having this issue. I have spent hours doing every single "fix" that's been listed anywhere you can find discussion on this issue. I have made sure I did port forwarding for the DAI PS4 ports. I have rebooted my router and ps4. I have made sure my psn account is using the same e-mail as my Origin/EA account. I have disconnected my ps4 from the internet so that i could at least start the game and turn off the auto log in option. I have used the PS4's web browser to log into my Origin account to try and force Origin to see my PS4 ID. Nothing has worked. I am now resorting to re-installing the game, doing an almost 50gb download twice in 2 days. I have exhausted every option EA gives for connecting the two accounts aside from talking to someone. It boggles my mind why there is no option to manually add psnid and gamertag to Origin/EA account. Their system for linking the two relies on their servers not causing issues. If I can't connect to their server, I can't link the accounts. It's an endless loop of frustration.

I fully realize I can just start a game without connecting to their servers. But I am not interested in playing the game with a default world state. Also not interested in making a new EA account. (Which I can't do anyways since it won't even connect to the DA servers.) I have owned this game on PC since release. New owner of a PS4 and made the mistake of taking advantage of the hefty PSPlus discount.

EDIT: Reinstalling the game didn't work. I even made sure I deleted all saved data for the game on my system.

I am having the exact same problem. I also tried all the steps listed in a different article. I've reset my router. I've completely shut down my PS4. I've logged into my router and made sure I wasn't using channel 6. I even ran a goddamn LAN cable from the console to my router upstairs. NOTHING WORKS. I don't want to have to try to reinstall it because it took so long in the first place.

All I want to do is finish the gorram game. I have the PS3 version of this game, played it twice, and then found out that Trespasser wasn't available on PS3. Now I finally have a PS4 and want to play the whole game over again with all my info from my previous DAO and DA2 saves AND FINISH THE GAME.

Is that so much to ask? Like really? After buying the game twice?

I am currently downloading the Fifa 17 demo and DAI again.

If this works, EA really needs to get there online system able to handle people who don't have there PSN ID connected to Origin yet. This would be a first year type problem.

I have an Origin account, and have used it on my PC, XBox 360, and mobile devices.

I will report back if this works for me. I have the benefit of unlimited bandwidth and a decent connection speed.

Thank you for letting us know. I am about to head out for a bit so I will try the FIFA demo and see if that fixes it for me. Will report back otherwise.

EDIT: Confirming that installing the FIFA 17 demo allowed me to sign into my EA account. DAI is now playable, and my PSNID is showing up in the Keep.

Can't seem to find the FIFA 17 demo in store? Care to help me find where I can get it - I can't even get it via google or maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

EDIT: Never Mind, found the actual page, going to download it and try it out. Will update if it works.

I can verify connecting your PSN ID to the Origin network corrects the issue.
