My walk button broke PC

So I like to use the walk button quite alot and I have it bound to C. The problem is that for some reason it has ceased to function. I can toggle to walk mode without problem however when I press C a...

Are you using the "60 fps fix" that's been floating around on the forums?
Apparently it breaks the toggle. You can turn walk on, but not turn it back off without a save/load.

The characters and camera are still animated at 30fps even with the fix. It only enhances the framerate of background effects, like rain and smoke.

The drop in framerate is quite difficult to ignore though.
