No internet equals no play... What?!

If my internet connection fails, or some **bleep** hacks the servers... My Dragon Age game doesn't recognize that I already have certain DLC packs installed, and tells me I need to re install them before I can continue playing the game. So, basically, if I can't connect to the DA servers, I can't play DA. Has anyone else had this problem? I would love to know how to fix it.

Forgot to mention. I'm playing on a PS4. Thanks.
  • The problem (on PC anyway) is with Origin. If Origin is in offline mode, then no internet is fine. I've never tried to use Origin on PS4, though I do own one. Hopefully there is a guide somewhere to help you do that.

Yep, I can't play single player ever since the PSN issues. I managed to get back online by using the MTU workaround but PSN is down again. Why do I need to be logged in to play single player?

Luckily we don't need Origin to play it on PS4, unluckily we need PSN to be working to play at all which it currently isn't for me and a lot of others

So you can't play the single player mode on PS4 when you're offline? That's a strange design decision. I can't imagine why they wouldn't allow it, since you can play offline on PC, which usually has more security measures than consoles.

. Yes you can play offlline but there is a bug or someting when psn is down. it will just keep trying to connect to the servers. and nothing more happens..  But now when psn up i dont have that problem.. So what you need to do is go in settings scroll down to network. and click the box that say connect to internet. and retstart your ps4. and you will be able to play..

Yea, I'm signed in right now. But the bug is still there. If my internet goes down, I can't play the game. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only person who's ran into it. This is a huge problem, and needs to be addressed.
