No save folder created, keep getting "save failed due to insufficient space"

I just bought and installed DA: Inquisition GOTY edition from Origin. It opens and plays fine, but I am getting the "save failed due to insufficient space" error. I have plenty of space. I have never played this game on my computer before. The problem is, I looked for where my save folder should be in the /bioware folder under documents, but it is not there. Only Dragon Age Origins. Checking under /origingames in Program Files (x86), there is the Dragon Age Inquisition folder and .exe file in there but no save folder. I've made sure all my permissions are correct in documents folder, repaired the game through Origin, made my own dragon age inquisition folder with a save folder in /bioware, and ran everything as administrator. I've tried everything I can find and nothing has worked yet. I'm running on windows 10 with cloud sync disabled, if that matters.

For anyone else who has this problem, I figured it out (for me, at least). I right clicked the game icon, then went to properties at the bottom. I then clicked on the compatibility tab and checked the "run in compatibility mode" box towards the top, and the "run as administrator" box at the bottom. I'm not sure which one solved the problem, but it worked and I don't care.

Your Documents folder must be on your boot drive, regardless of where the game is installed. If it is there then I would uninstall and reinstall the game and be sure no other program is using the Documents folder or it's sub folders when you do so. (Should be BOOT DRIVE/USERS/YOUR NAME/Douments/Bioware/Dragon Age Inquisition/Save) NOTE no "s"  - SAVE, not SAVES.

  • The documents folder is there, of course. It is in the normal location on the boot drive. The Bioware folder is there under documents, but it does not have the Dragon Age Inquisition folder within it. I have reinstalled while running as admin, and also started the game as admin. It is still not being created upon starting the game, and I'm not sure why.
