NPCs won't level up?

I didn't explain well enough, I checked in their skill trees and there are no points for any companion. That's the issue, even though we've don't enough romping around that my main character is close to level 4, no companion has even hit level 2 yet...

I have the same issue on PS4. After closing the second rift, just before entering the forward camp, I see the level up notification for my main character. The now unlocked character record shows that my main character (a human) is at level 2 with 2 ability points to spend. He has 301 experience points toward level 3. All other characters are at level 1 with 0 ability points. Cassandra has 10 xps. Both Varric and Solas have 118 xps. I continued until the end of Wrath of Heaven and could see that the other characters never gained more experience.

I have tried everything I can think of: reloading a save game, restarting DA:I, reinstalling, quick and full PS4 initialization, and reset PS4 to default values. I have also replayed Wrath of Heaven several times with various characters of different genders and races. I'm surprised more PS4 players aren't having the same issue because I can't imagine how something in my environment could be to blame considering the resets and initializations. My PS4 is at version 2.02. My game is at version 1.01.

The latest patch did not fix this issue for me. My PS4 is now at 2.03. The game is at 1.02.

The behavior is exactly as described before. I again went as far as deleting the game and saves from system storage followed by a full initialization. No matter what I do, after closing the second rift and leveling up, my character has 301 xps toward level 3. Cassandra is at level 1 with 10 xps (the amount earned during the first battle). Varric and Solas are at level 1 and each have 118 xps (approximately the same amount my character has when we first meet). Only my character gains any more experience if I continue.

I have made 3 attempts at a second play through. Each time my companions wont gain xp. After the second rift when you gain your first level everyone has the animation (bright flash) to show a level up, they all get their HP filled but cassandra has the 10XP, solas and veric have whatever xp you had when you got them. When you kill an enemy and do not have the inquisitor selected it doesnt show the xp gain... normally it does at the top of the screen. BTW I'm on PS4.

I am having the same issue. Did any of you ever figure this out?
