Update: After completing mage quest and reaching skyhold, trying to recruit Cole there right away crashes the game too. Maybe Cole is the problem.
Have you tried repairing the install via Origin?

Hey
No I don't use mods. Original game+ decent, trespasser, hakkon and black emporium is what I have.
And yeah, I have tried the repair 2 times already. It did not seem to find anything both times. I even reinstalled the game between these repairs.

Sorry to take so long to post back, but my Mobo on my computer went belly up and I had to rebuild it and upgrade. Good thing is now I am running AMD Ryzen7 1800 chip, bad thing is I am a bit poorer....lol.
1) How about posting up a DxDiag file so we can see what kind of system we are dealing with, and maybe get some insight to offer some better ideas.
2) Are Origin, and DAI both set to run as adminstrator??
3) Are you running either in any kind of compatibility mode??
4) Do you have any kind of add on overlays?? AMD gaming evolved, Afterburner, Fraps are just a few to give you an idea of what I am talking about, if you didn't already know.
5) Try deleting the profileoptions and profileoptions_options files inside your Saves folder located in your Users section. This will reset all ingame options, including graphics and keybindings....want to see if something got changed that may cause as issue.
6) Have you tried lowering all graphics options down to bare minimum to see it will get past the cutscene or section of the crash??
7) Since you have upgraded to Win10, make sure you have checked all drivers(sound, video and motherboard) for updates and double check windows has successfully completed all updates.
8) Keep us updated with progress.

2) Origin is not but DA:I is run as an Administrator.
3) No as far as I know. Will check though when home
4) yeah I have the AMD Gaming Evolved and I think Fraps too.
5) yeah I tried that already. Did not work so I restored my settings as they were before
6) No haven't tried that.
7) Windows says all updates are done, but will try to manually update all drivers of hardware
Thanks, Will keep you posted, if something fixes my problem

Hey
DXDiag as promised.

I noticed you also have a app crash for NS.exe, which is norton securities and it also lists NTDLL.dll....
May be an issue with AV...you MAY try uninstalling Norton, see if the game works and then reinstall making sure you get the version for Win10 since you have upgraded.
And all Razor programs have been an issue with gaming on one computer or another....I saw you have several different versions....just sayin..

Just read on another thread here, about a failure to start. In that thread, DA;I was having the NTDL.dll, fault and he fixed it by removing all Razor software. So if you haven't recently, retry removing all Razor hardware and software, repair the game and retry it.
- 9 years agoHey. Thanks.
Will try removing all razer, Norton, fraps and raptr/AMD gaming evolved software. But I will not be home till tomorrow evening. I will be replying then, if it works or not.
Thanks in advance
