offline patch download?
is there any offline patch download? it's already a waste of data cost to play a single player game online.. i don't want to waste more data cost to download the patch

I hate to say it but, you can't download anything if you are offline. Being online is a prerequisite to downloading PERIOD. You can install things from a disk or other media if you own the disk but this is a patch, it does not come on a disk, youy can't go to a store and buy it which is the only way to get things on a computer w/o downloading. So no, you cannot patch the game unless you are online.
Of course you can't download music, freeware or anything else offline either. You can copy or install those from a disk if a disk for those things exists but, you cannot download ANYTHING offline.
DarkAmaranth1966, what I read his post as meaning was that he could download the patch on its own as a separate executable, so that he could then have it stored on his computer to run at any time, the way patches used to be distributed. He of course needs to be online to download it initally, but he wanted a digital copy of the patch executable.
Of course, Origin and Steam have changed the way patching games works, so you can't donwload a patch file, you simply auto patch. GOG still allows you to download a separate patch file like he wants. The advantage of downloadable files is that you can start from a base game and patch it to whatever version you want. With the way Origin and Steam work, you can never play the patch 2 version now from a fresh install. If you have the disks, you can play either an unpatched version, or a patch 3 version. Having patch 2 downloadable would allow someone to patch the base game to version 1.02 instead of being forced to the current version.
